The Theology of Slowing Down

During the past few months, God has been instructing me that I need to slow down considerably and that I need to eliminate hurry out of my life. He has been showing me what I potentially could loose if I don’t slow down. I am a terrible slow learner when it comes to this.

Dallas Willard says that “You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life, for hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day”.

I am finding it very hard to eliminate hurry from my life. But as I grow to become more like Christ, I am finding out that this is one area that God really wants to me to focus my energy on right now and slow down.
