Hands wrapped around a finger

by Robert

Last evening I was feeding my little girl before her bedtime. The bottle ran out before she was finished and she kindly let me know that she wanted some more milk. I made my way to the kitchen where I filled her bottle.

While I was gone, Kalena apparently thought that I wasn’t moving fast enough. Even worse maybe daddy had forgotten about her needs. When I got back to her room, tears were streaming down her tiny little cheeks.

My heart broke.

I reached down and picked her up and held her closely to me while I whispered comforting words to her. Then I fed her till her little belly was content.

While this was going on, her little hands were wrapped tightly around one of my fingers.

God began to speak to me. He reminded me once again that I was His child. He has the world at His fingertips.

As God told me this, it seemed like I wrapped my hands a little tighter around one of His fingers.

We’re continually amazed at God’s goodness, blessing and little whispers of love to our heart through our little Kalena! Babies have a way of reminding us of God’s own sweet tenderness He has to share with our own hearts!

I love your tenderness with little Kalena.
Give her a hug and kiss from Grandma.
