Law of the lid

by Robert

Years ago when I first read the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell, I rejected his idea of the law of the lid. Who did I think I was?? But now after observing leadership structures for a few years, I now see that it seems to be true.

In essence the law of the lid is that great leaders do not follow good leaders and that good leaders do not follow bad leaders. At least they don’t for very long. So if I can’t find good leaders around me, it may be an indication of my own leadership faults.

Pretty brutal.
