Wesleyan Theological Journal

by Robert

I attended my first and only Wesleyan Theological Society meeting in 2002 when I was still a student at Hobe Sound Bible College. Since then I have tried to acquire as many issues of the Wesleyan Theological Journal that I could find and have quite a few of them. I also joined the Society as a student member since I am a grad student at Evangelical.

I just found out that the issues of the journal are available as PDF downloads at their site. For the two of you who would be interested, check it out :-) [link]

Thanks for the link, Robert. I downloaded a half dozen editions and read some articles of interest to me (even though I really don’t have the time today!). I particularly enjoyed Dr. Dieter’s tribute to Dr. Wingrove Taylor. I was interested in an article on Neuroscience and Wesley in the 2009 edition but found it wasn’t available online.

I was surprised how many Asbury Seminary professors were included – even someone who occasionally attended the Sunday School class I taught when we lived there! I was disappointed at how few (if any?) CHM names appeared. Perhaps this is a trend that will change as friends like you (and others) begin to submit papers (hint, hint).

Yes, I noticed that several of the new volumes haven’t been released yet.

I think you were already gone from HSBC when the WTS was there, but there seemed to be quite a few from Asbury present.

Andrew, it sickens me how few writers in the CHM there are. Most of the books published are simply reprints of the bestsellers from 50-7 years ago. I do plan in writing, but for now all of my academic energy is being spent on my masters. You know how that is.
