Random thoughts on a Monday

March 1, 2010

  • I usually post my random thoughts on Wednesdays, but my schedule is crazier than normal this week, so Monday it is.
  • I preached for the first time ever from the minor prophet Habakkuk yesterday. I believe he has some important stuff to say to the church today.
  • Too many people run into doubts and never do anything with them. Habakkuk took his doubts and questions straight to God.
  • I needed to hear yesterdays message myself.
  • I have too many acquaintances/friends who have crashed and burned when it comes to questions and doubts.
  • Kalena is imitating everything we do. It is so funny! I have a post ready to go on Wednesday about that.
  • She has no fear. The other day I walked into the house and she was standing on top of the piano.
  • I think we had our highest non-holiday crowd yesterday/ I believe the final number was 89. And we had quite a few regulars who were absent due to sickness.
  • So glad I get to be part of the Gospel Center.
  • We have a great team of volunteers who make my job so much easier, and makes it easier to fulfill the mission that God has given us.
  • I feel like I am back to operating at 75% strength now. I think losing weight will help bring that number up.
  • Reading Nehemiah this week for my devotions. Great stuff!
