On this date, June 1, 1860, Samuel Logan Brengle was born. Bengal was very instrumental in the spread of Holiness, especially in the United States. His books on Holiness are considered classics.
Here are some quotes from him.
“Holiness is not some lofty experience, unattainable except to those who can leap the stars, but it is rather a lowly experience, which lowly people in the lowly walks of life can share with Jesus, by letting His mind be in them.”
“There was nothing dark and hidden about Jesus. He was and is the Light of the world, and He welcomed the light.”
“The great battles, the battles that decide our destiny and the destiny of generations yet unborn, are not fought on public platforms, but in the lonely hours of the night and in moments of agony.”
