On this date, July 7, 1522, the council at Zurich demanded that Conrad Grebel and three of his friends to appear before them. In this “conversation” the council forbid them from speaking against monks while they preached. The Catholic church disliked this. His life was short – less than 30 years. But his impact earned him the title the Father of Anabaptists.
