On this date, November 4, 1743, John Wesley described an interesting incident in his journal. Individuals performed a show titled Trick upon Trick or Methodism Displayed. But as they began the show in order to make fun of Methodism, the seats and the stage begin to collapse where they were preforming. The actors tried several times to go on with the show, but each time further collapse occurred. They finally gave up.
