The longest I have gone is 50 minutes. I am sure people would leave my service if I preached for three hours! Good to see you and Michelle last week.

Habakkuk does offer us the steps to spiritual maturity, but they are so difficult at times!

Robert,

Enjoyed this post. Great reminder. How often have I not made it out of chapter 1? Too many times! Try to do it too often in my own strength. I "cry" out...and then don't wait upon the Lord to move...rather I move and forsake the blessing He may have wanted to pour out. Habakkuk offers us the steps to spiritual maturity.

Have a great day!

Yes, I noticed that several of the new volumes haven't been released yet.

I think you were already gone from HSBC when the WTS was there, but there seemed to be quite a few from Asbury present.

Andrew, it sickens me how few writers in the CHM there are. Most of the books published are simply reprints of the bestsellers from 50-7 years ago. I do plan in writing, but for now all of my academic energy is being spent on my masters. You know how that is.

Thanks for the link, Robert. I downloaded a half dozen editions and read some articles of interest to me (even though I really don't have the time today!). I particularly enjoyed Dr. Dieter's tribute to Dr. Wingrove Taylor. I was interested in an article on Neuroscience and Wesley in the 2009 edition but found it wasn't available online.

I was surprised how many Asbury Seminary professors were included - even someone who occasionally attended the Sunday School class I taught when we lived there! I was disappointed at how few (if any?) CHM names appeared. Perhaps this is a trend that will change as friends like you (and others) begin to submit papers (hint, hint).

There are many things to consider and I know the operating board will consider all of them. It still feels a bit surreal even after a week!
